The heart of the TechForum is the presentations and the networking opportunities. We have put together a wide variety of presentations, and plenty of time to talk amongst your peers.
We always leave plenty of time at the end of each presentation for questions, so feel free to get involved.

1. Welcome to TechForum 2025
2. KEYNOTE: What the Future Holds
HP will share insights on the Coding, Marking and Packaging Market Outlook for the future, the challenges and threats we all face, and how HP can help with that. HP will share a preview of upcoming new technology , and then present a “peek behind the curtain” with our product development strategy in an interactive sharing session.
3. An Introduction to the UC108 – Black (and Color)
The UC108 is a TIJ 4.0 print head with a width of 108 mm. It boasts a native resolution of 1200 dpi and impressive throughput speeds of 600 ft/min when configured at 600/600. Additionally, it features HP’s micro-recirculation technology, which reduces the need for printhead servicing and minimizes decap issues. In this presentation, you will get your first look at how this technology works, as well as an introduction to Norwix’s latest development: Full CMYK Color.
4. UC22 and UC108 – a study in success in Case Coding
The UC22 and UC108 printers, utilizing the latest TIJ 4.0 print technology from HP, are significantly more affordable than comparable options on the market. They offer superior print quality of up to 600 dpi and can operate at very high speeds when required. We will review real applications and experiences gained so far in 2025.
5. iM2 and iM4 in Mail, Graphics and Packaging
The iM2 – our Piezo based UV Curable printers – have been installed in ever increasing numbers in some many different applications. From strapping lines in the USA, to Bottling plants in Korea; from printing UDI labels to unique barcodes at high speed, and mail applications galore. Find out what it is and where this print solution is being installed.
6. Sunrise 2027 and New Regulations: Driving the Future
The GS1 Sunrise 2027 initiative requires that all retail products use 2D barcodes, such as QR codes, by the year 2027. Unlike traditional linear barcodes, 2D barcodes can store a large amount of information, including product attributes, batch numbers, expiry dates, and more. This transition aims to improve product traceability, enhance inventory management, and create a more seamless shopping experience both online and offline. Find out exactly how it will impact your business.
7. Inks, Inks, and more Inks
Inks – whether it is TIJ or Piezo based, water, solvent, or UV curable – can get a little confusing at times. Some see it as more of an art form than a science! We’ll take you through the basics of the chemistry and discuss the options and real life applications. We will also show take you through the Print Sample Process to explain what works and what doesn’t.
8. The latest in Software – Vega (inc. Databases, HQ, Hot Folders etc.)
There has been a lot of changes in recent years from Norwix. One of the biggest is Vega – new software, new capabilities. We also have Terminal Mode, Quick Load, Vega HQ and more to come. Find out what we can do and what is to come. Tell us your thoughts and needs.
